Easter Sunday started around 4:30am...turkey hunting for Brad and Noah. And of course, they are not the quietest two boys in the world, so I listened to them get dressed, open and shut doors, come back into the house a few times, and then finally leave.
Then, at 5:19am, Sammy started to whine and bark. He wanted to go out.
7am. The turkey hunters returned and the excitement of "basket finding" began! The awesome Easter Bunny not only left 5 baskets, but 10 baskets! (Now that is a LOT of candy!) Laughing, yelling, giggling, yelling, shrieking, yelling, crying, yelling, whining, heckling (by Brad), yelling, and more!
All 10 baskets were found, but not without some tears. All the noise made one very GRUMPY mom! (I blame this mostly on Brad for laughing at the kids when they were getting frustrated and fighting!)
We went to church in Weyauwega at 10am and then returned home to change our clothes. The kids went up to Grandma Rucks' home to find 5 more Easter baskets full of candy! We were also able to see Great-Grandma Beck for a few minutes!
Then we headed to Grandma Lenz' home for Easter lunch, an Easter egg hunt, and a birthday celebration (for me)! Even though it was pretty windy outside, the kids all had fun searching for their colored eggs. (more candy and money)
It was a nice Easter holiday spent with our family!
